016: My Parents’ Golden Wedding Anniversary

img_20160116_065058.jpgMy parents celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary today. We went back to the Mary Immaculate Church, the church where they were married fifty years ago. They renewed their vows after the morning Mass.

They were the first couple to be married in that church. I have only seen one or two pictures of their wedding. My father made for very dapper groom in his suit, my mother was a svelte and young bride. My aunt was one of the bridesmaids and my two uncles were also part of the entourage. I seem to recall the church was not yet complete. There was still some scaffolding in the background.

I made my first Scratch game today. I put it together in a couple of hours. You can try the game and tell me what you think. It was inspired by Helmet, the old Nintendo Game-and-Watch title. I plan to run a class to teach this to grade school and high school students in February.
